In 2010 the Arzuw Foundation launched the Work and Travel Loan program that provides Turkmen students with no-interest loans to cover the up-front costs such as an airline ticket and visa fees required to participate in the Summer Work and Travel Program. This year we are incredibly pleased to announce a new partnership with CIEE, an non-profit international exchange organization to help even more Turkmen students participate in the Summer Work and Travel Program.
In partnership with CIEE, we will offer ten Work and Travel scholarships in 2013 to Turkmen students. These scholarships will cover the program and insurance fees for students applying for Work and Travel through a CIEE agency.
Work and Travel is about giving students access to an affordable international cultural exchange, an opportunity to improve their English skills, and a chance gain valuable work experience. This is also a tremendous opportunity for Turkmen students to share their culture and their country with more people in the United States.
By lowering the entry barrier Turkmen students face when trying to access the Summer Work and Travel program, we are opening up the experience to more students every year.
